A Fulani woman whose
name was withheld gave birth to a strange looking child on Monday at the
General Hospital Kagarko, Kagarko Local Government Area in Kaduna State after
several hours of labour. The woman is said to be an indigene of SabonIceh
village. The baby had strange ears, eyes, but no tail and is said to have a
monkey face.
One of the nurses that attended to
the woman said that the pregnant woman was rushed to the hospital at about 7:30
am on Monday and immediately taken into the labour room. The woman came in
through the Out-Patient Department (OPD) after seeing the doctor on call and I
decided to rupture her because the cervix was fully dilated, said the nurse.
After I ruptured her, about 26 litres fluid gushed out followed by severe bleeding.
At all this intervals, the baby was still in the womb.
“When the bleeding persisted, I
sent for the medical director and when she came, we went into the theatre to
operate on the woman, but In the process of carrying out the operation, the
baby started coming out with the legs. So, the medical director asked me to
stop and allow her to deliver the baby by herself. The nurse also added that, “as
soon as she delivered the baby, we discovered that it was an abnormal child
which has some features of both animal and human and we also lost the baby
shortly after delivery. She also said the baby weighed four kilograms adding
that the mother of the baby is currently receiving treatment at the hospital
due to loss of blood so we have to give her blood,” she said. VIEWERS
DISCRETION IS ADVISED FOR THE PHOTO OF THE BABY.
